Pretty much the problem has been that the main dev has vanished off the face
of the earth.
If you remember an old news management script called newspro, Coranto was
forked from newspro.

Subject: Saving Coranto Step Two
Hi, all!
After the last week here at the SaveCoranto forums, we've batted around a
lot of good ideas, and a lot of great people have come forward, volunteering
their efforts to the cause.
Well, we finally have a few teams forming, and directions
established. Here's the four main tasks we're tackling:
-Coranto 1.25 Development
We'll need any coders or testers here.
-GoCoranto Site Development
If you're a web designer, or graphic designer, we could use your direction
and creativity.
-Promoting Coranto
Any and all marketing plans, getting the script into online open-source
repositories, etc.
-Documentation
We need people willing to add to the current documentation project, as well
as documenting existing addons.
This is your chance to contribute! We need team leaders, team members, and
as we've said before, you don't have to be a coder to help out now! Come on
by today, and sign up where you're needed!
We've already moved faster than I thought we would, Coranto is NOT dead,
just resting!
