[Hampshire] media pc

I currently have a media pc thingi running debian and freevo. I've had
a look at MythTV before, but it all seemed a little over the top for
my needs.

I'd like to know of any alternatives you guys might know of? I quite
fancy something slick that is easy to customise - i.e - I can choose
the player it uses and the commands it passes to it.

Also, one thing I didn't like about freevo is the extensive lists of
albums rather than having a nice indexing thingi with a search.

Perhaps I'm asking too much!!
