You may recall the event a couple of weeks ago, where the UKUUG
asked people to write to the British Standards Institute about the
proposed ISO standard from MS for Office documents. Well, it appears
that seven different ISO member countries objected[1], which means
that the draft standard will be put on the normal standards-track
process. This should allow plenty of time for the (serious) flaws in
it to be dealt with -- with any luck, it'll get dropped completely.
