I started using amanda but quickly moved to using bacula since I
wanted to use one tape/week and the amanda philosophy seemed to be at
least one tape/day.

Dell DDS4 internal drive in a poweredge 1800.

To be honest, I hate tapes - darn unreliable things, lots of hassle.
Network backup is much nicer :-)

I've been very impressed with backuppc FWIW.
