[Hampshire] NetworkManager and WEP

Hi All.

I've finally got my WiFi access going tonight - well, mostly.

I'm running WEP (SWMBO's laptop won't do WPA). I've got a (fairly)
supported card, and I've dibbled with config files (ifcfg-wlan0 and
keys-wlan0) until it works. Mostly. I'd be typing this on the laptop if I
still had enough battery.

So far so good. But it all breaks if I run NetworkManager. Running iwevent
shows that the encryption is repeatedly turned off - and that kills a WEP
link stone dead :-)

Does anyone know what's going wrong?
