Hi John,
If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is! (Heh, I noticed
this was quoted in the article shortly after I typed that)
The cheapest laptop I would consider buying is probably an ex-corporate
IBM Thinkpad, and you can't buy these for less than £250 as a rule.
Anything under that price will in all likelihood be crap.
The exception to that is possibly a private sale, where better value
might be had with some luck. But new? I seriously doubt it for less than
£100.
