Subject: [Hampshire] Syncing with Phones

Hi all,

Has anyone managed to successfully sync an addressbook with a mobile
phone? I've trying to get data from my KDE Addressbook into a
Nokia 6300, with very little success.

I've got KitchenSync, I've got gnokii, I've got all the bluetooth
support (and I can browse files on the phone just fine with Konqueror
to grab images off it etc). All running on Gentoo, KDE 3.5.7.

The main issue seems to be that any contact entry with multiple
phone numbers, addresses or emails gets rejected, and there doesn't
seem to be any useful options to specify what gets exported to
where (I'm guessing it may be trying to write to the SIM, rather
than phone memory).

If I export as VCF format, then use gnokii to import the business
cards manually, then I get partial import - normally a list of
names with no numbers, or just now a list of numbers with no names
(this is specifying to write to phone memory rather than SIM card).

Has anyone managed to get syncing between KDE and a Phone working
properly?
