I doubt anybody will be able to answer that question yet as I don't think
they have actually started the service or shipped any USB dongles yet.

I went into the 3 store in Basingstoke to ask about this service and the
(young, attractive, friendly but ultimately unhelpful) sales assistant
said that the service hadn't been launched yet and they were expecting
more details next month.

Looking on the 3 website it seems that the service will be launched on the
3rd September so I'm guessing no one has had a chance to try one of these
devices with Linux yet.

I'd suggest contacting 3 and asking, I'm sure there answer will be either
"no" or "not yet" (or maybe "what's Linux":) but the more people who ask
the more awareness we get.
