If anyone is thinking of buying one of the new Mac Books or Mac Book
Pro's then please consider getting a cover for it.

The nice Aluminium Case is great to look at but can easily get
scratched. Ally is a pretty soft material unless you get one of the
Aircraft grade alloys.

There are three( at least) types of cover for them.
1) The hard shell type
2) Zip up Neoprene
3) Other Material Zip up.

The first one allows you to use the laptop and all its ports without
having to take the cover off. There are several different colours available.

2) This is IMHO the best of the rest. Again different colours are
available. The neorprene does provides a soft and very durable cover.

I have one of the hard shell types on order. I declined the Red one
though. I did even see some pink ones for sale in the US (for the female
Mac Users....)

Finally,
As the intended user of the MAC (from the original Post) is a student
don't forget about looking at the Student Licenses for things like
Photoshop etc. These really do give a substantial discount over normal
retail even if the Discount of the H/W is not that great.
