Ubuntu 8.04 successfully manages the wireless card (or so it seems in
the early days), but the webcam has not been recognised by Gnome. So,
overall, I'm pleased to be sat back downstairs.
I'll tackle the webcam later this weekend, but a quick look at
/var/log/syslog shows that the kernel is seeing the webcam as it
reports thus when I switch the card on and off -
