My wife asked if she could talk to her friend in South Africa using
Skype so I duly downloaded and installed it in Ubuntu 7.10. During
installation the terminal fills full screen with an "I accept terms
and conditions" window. There is an <OK> button at the bottom which I
am unable to access ethier by mouse or the enter key.
Anyway I got Skype working and thought no more of it.
Now I find when I run Synaptic an error message appears that says:-
E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a'
to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.
If I run dpkg --configure -a I end up with the same Accept window
which I cannot accept. I find other people have had the same problem
but I have found no satisfactory sololution.
