I was really inspired by calculators as a schoolboy, especially
programmable ones, but I spent more time tinkering with these in class
than listening to my maths teacher;) - reasoning, why bother with your
class when the calculator can do this better! I have since learned the
error of my ways.

I have my Technology tutor from Wyvern secondary modern in Fair Oak, Mr
Moss, to thank for showing me how they really worked and tested his
patience while I build a programmable model railway controller unit - out
of 555 timer IC's for my 'O' level project.

Those were the days:)
