I did have a plantronics noice cancelling headset for my first
mobile phone. My hubs was using it in the car with the stereo
full on - heavy bass etc. You could only hear a very infrequent
'thump' - amazing.

I have never seen both noise cancelling phones and a boom mike
but it makes so much sense. I suppose you could jury rig
something if reqd.

IIRC the plantronics had two mikes - one pointing towards
the mouth and one away and it used the difference.
