Thanks for the reply!
I suppose it's possible that the CDs are a duff batch - i was using the
same packet.
But then it's also just as likely my laptop is the problem - it's broken
3 times in under 12 months... :-(
It has got to the point where I'm not even sure to take it back when it
breaks (shudders in horror at thought of Curry's phone help) - Curry's
aren't exactly the most 'helpful' - I had one guy tell my mum I had
voided the warranty by installing linux - Grr moan grumble
Thanks for your help - I am going to try with a USB pen instead, and see
if that works.
