We always used IBM tapes, but then we were an IBM shop - so not
particularly helpful.

I do wonder when/if tapes will be obsoleted by hard disks - tapes have
seemed horrifically expensive and unreliable by comparison for a good
number of years now. Hot-swap disk library anyone?
