Are there going to be any Wine experts at tomorrows BaB?
I have been trying to get voice recognition software, ViaVoice 10,
working under Wine on Ubuntu 8.4. The program seems to have installed
properly and works until the point where the microphone is setup. It
says there is a problem with the mixer setup and suggests rebooting or
consult your system administrator (This is a Windows message!). The
audio tag in wineconf only gives the option of using oss. Previously
it gave the option of alsa or oss (under an earlier version of Ubuntu
IFRC) but choosing either of these made no difference.
Searching winehq.org someone claimed to have had the Spanish version
of ViaVoice working.
