Do you have a specific model number for your laptop ? I believe a "D510"
is just the generic model no.
The reason I ask is that I have a battery for a D505 which has a battery
model number of C1295, but I don't know if they are the same as for a
D510. If they are you are quite welcome to it.
As an aside it might be worth finding out if the battery is faulty
according to the Dell Battery return Program

- this is still running so if the battery is potentially faulty it can
be replaced for free!
