[Hampshire] a drawing puzzle

Hi

I need to produce a diagram which is essentially a hexagon of things that
look like jigsaw pieces. Imagine if you had a large jigsaw that was hexagon
shaped - I want the edge pieces.

I can probably mess about with inkscape and achieve this once (any hints and
tips welcome), but is there a simple plugin for inkscape, gimp or some other
app where I can dial in the number of sides (from 5 to 10) and it throws a
diagram at me? Someone must have had to do this before!
