[Hampshire] Big Iron...

Hi All.

I hope this post doesn't come across as advertising - that's not my intent.

I was down at Jamie's yesterday, playing with an IBM x3950 server. It's
got twin 2.6GHz Xeons, multiple[1] 70GB SAS drives, and 16GB of RAM. And
they've got two - don't know the spec of the other one.

I don't know anyone that can use such stuff - it's too big and noisy
unless you've got a server room, and it's unlikely you could guarantee
SLAs with second-hand kit. But it's a lovely unit, and plays very well
with Linux (I booted Fedora, and found an installation of RHEL ES3 on the
drive I was blanking).

If anyone can use such stuff, you should get in touch with them. I'm sure
these boxen will be quite cheap...

[1] I counted 7, but that's between the two machines. And there might be
