The iscan package should contain both the Image Scan application and the
driver package - essentially the file epkowa.conf. The latter is put into
/etc/sane.d. An edit of /etc/sane.d/dll.conf may be required. Quite how this
works depends on your package manager - I use Slackware so I usually
end up doing it by hand.
Using this driver, you should be able to use xscanimage or XSane as well
as Image Scan.
