That exact link shows the inability of some people to read the question
(as ever), but the bugzilla link from there was useful - it's a bug in
bash.
Redhat have done themselves proud on this one, too - the bug was reported
a year ago, but it took them 4 months to decide they weren't going to
bother fixing it. Then they finally announced a fix last month, but
haven't actually made it available yet :-(
Ho hum. I'll just pretend I didn't change anything :-)
