Libranet 3 was a great advance on 2.8 so is harder to replace :-(.

I'd like to stay with KDE, but KUbuntu has so far refused to recognise my
hardware (in particular my video card and monitor - a real downer if you
can't see the screen). I am about to try 6.10 on a non-mission critical m/c
(when I have installed some more memory, currently sitting waiting to be
installed). And yes, I did try the KUbuntu support list.

I even tried Xubuntu on my laptop. Surprise, surprise it wouldn't install.

I don't think Ubuntu likes me. :-(
