No doubt if I had given the Linux distro a chance, it would have. But
Libranet has been on hdb quite happily for some time. I disconnected it (it
is after all the slave drive so the other was quite happy to be on its own)
when I installed Windows.

Yes - it had occurred to me that it might be quicker simply to reinstall
Libranet. But editing GRUB is one of the things I am supposed to have learnt
how to do - and giving up won't teach me anything. I have been dual booting
via the BIOS for three years - it is time I learnt how to edit GRUB - besides
I am making real efforts to get myself out of my comfort zone and try things
that I am afraid of.

Moreover, transferring files from backup to Thunderbird is another thing that
is outside my comfort zone. I have tried once, totally unsatisfactorily. (I
have found a work-around for KMail, but not for Thunderbird.) And I can't
make my husband lose all his emails just because I am pig-headed.

In fact, the simplest thing of all is to go on changing over for my husband
whenever it needs doing. But I can be very pig-headed sometimes, and I don't
want to give up on this. Mind you, you might all give up on me and then I
would have to. ;-)
