Have you tried m-a (module-assistant)? Not sure if this is much different,
but it would build the kernel module (nvidia-glx) for you.

Also, have you tried alternatives for your keyboard & mouse modules?

Tell me to RTFM if i'm rehashing what you've already done (or kindly explain
:P)
