I have problems with orange as well with mail downloads freezing halfway
though. At this point I have to go onto Orange's web page and access my
mail at the web page.
There is a problem at orange that if your domain is xyz.freeserve.co.uk then
you will receive any spam that is sent to this domain. I have to keep
removing this even now and again. As my email program will only download
abc@???. So I have to keep clearing out
abc1@???, abc2@??? spam emails. I have had
occassions where my email account has 1500 emails in it. All of which is
spam. And addresses that my email program does not download.
This may be the cause of the problem you are having with emails.
