Subject: [Hampshire] Fonts in Java applications

Hi all

Please excuse a rather rushed email...

Can anyone enlighten me as to why NetBeans and BlueJ (both under Ubuntu) seem to disregard the fonts I've selected for the rest of the desktop. Me being me I've increased the standard desktop fonts to 14 point - but both NetBeans and BlueJ seem to have their own ideas (I'm talking about the menus here as opposed to the code in the editor) - which as yet I've not been able to increase to a similar size.

So can someone tell me:
1) why these two apps are ignoring the desktop fonts

or more likely

2) How to increase the font size of the menus in netbeans and bluej.

I have had a quick look at 2) but can't increase the menu fonts - but can handle the editor text.

[Sorry if it's staring me in the face]

Cheers
Rob

As ever - forgive me replying to my own post. Not sorted in the case of BlueJ but for netbeans, it's so simple...

netbeans -fontsize 18

Simple enough option - but zero documentation - had to join the netbeans mailing list to find out.

Cheers
