Subject: [Hampshire] mounting an ipod nano.
Hello Folks.

Please see the returns below:

Disk /dev/hda: 164.6 GB, 164696555520 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 20023 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

   Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1   *           1         851     6835626   83  Linux
/dev/hda2             852       20023   153999090    f  W95 Ext'd (LBA)
/dev/hda5             852       19961   153501043+  83  Linux
/dev/hda6           19962       20023      497983+  82  Linux swap /
Solaris
Note: sector size is 2048 (not 512)

Disk /dev/sda: 2030 MB, 2030043136 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 61 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 2048 = 32901120 bytes

   Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1               1           3       96264    0  Empty
/dev/sda2               4          61     1863540    b  W95 FAT32
marvin:/home/testermike# /dev/sda2 /mnt/ipod vfat rw,user,noauto,noatime
0 0
bash: /dev/sda2: Permission denied
marvin:/home/testermike#

I'm guessing that the nano only has root permissions. It certainly
automounts when I boot as root.

Does somebody know how to make it accessible by the non root user
please?

TIA
Mike
