That helps a lot, thanks! I was worrying about a client's bandwidth. She
only has 2GB a month, which is normally ample! But I didn't want to risk
running out half way though the install. She can easily buy extra bandwidth
quite cheaply, so downloading and burning 3 DVDs myself seemed a bit OTT.

This is for the printing problem. I had already tried everything you two
suggested except using the KDE Control Center to install it. So thank you
for the prompt reply and the suggestion. I shall certainly try that, but
don't hold out much hope. Something has obviously tied itself in knots. The
same printer runs happily on the same distro on another machine. All of us
still on Libranet 3, updated to Sarge, are about due for a reinstall anyway,
so it would not be an inappropriate solution. (Libranet 3 can be updated
to/with Sarge, but breaks if you try a dist-upgrade to Etch.)
