Hi Rob, from your scenario I recommend you check the Qnap TS-201 or
TS-401 for 4 SATA HDDs. Sadly I do not have one of these but would
love the TS-201 though!

The other reason I mention it is that I've recently started trading as
a specialist in open-source media center systems. More than one of my
customers has a Qnap NAS device and are very happy with it.
