I did record about 5 hours worth of interviews on mine without
too much hassle. Can't remember how much of the charge it used
doing that.

I have a mains charger at home for it, but on long trips I use
a car charger. This plugs into the cigarette socket in the car,
and comes with a collection of male plugs, one of which is the
right shape for the iAudio. It also has a selector on it for
changing the power output.
