Personal contacts is always the best approach, though presumably
you've exhausted that avenue.

linuxjobs you've done, I can't think of a specific list that would be
better.

Linkedin.com is a possibility, basically just widening that net a
little wider.

When I have looked myself _for_ jobs, I've used the various job sites
- though most are pretty terrible from a job-hunters PoV. Those that
are good for job-hunters may not be good from an agencies PoV. IME
most jobs on there also seem bogus - when speaking to various agencies
about specifics the actual position never seems to exist...

Agencies are the next place, though they are expensive. In my
experience (from a "being recruited" and seeing _some_ of the "hiring"
aspect), most seem pretty clueless. I've had many ask me if I'm
interested in a Windows role for example...

It's worth saying that maybe you are advertising it well enough, but
that no-one is interested. Perhaps it's worth rechecking the advert
or revisiting the compensation?
