Oh I don't know, it's not so bad. There haven't been any threats of
violence or legal action of late and the resident (occasional) trolls
have almost become a 'feature' to be lured out from under their
respective bridges with certain topics!

I would pick up on your point in thinking twice before posting though
and reiterate it - some of my replies, especially where the topic is
contentious - go through several revisions before posting. It's not
uncommon for a reply to overnight in my drafts folder either, to be sent
the next day or discovered several days later when I am glad I did not
respond immediately.

I personally like the list as it is, with its diverse user base and
equally diverse opinions, its broad range of experience and skills, and
importantly for me, its lack of formality. We may not be unique in this,
but I believe we do offer an added dimension to the many purely
technical lists out there with our off-beat and occasionally off-topic
approach that enrich the technical aspect with opinion and commentary.
