Sometimes I wonder if email is a mis-communication medium - it's
certainly easy to grab the wrong end of the stick and for things to
escalate way beyond what's reasonable. It's also far easier to say
stuff in email that you would never say face-to-face.
If there is something or someone upsetting you, by all means try and
get it resolved, however on-list posting might not be the best approach.
I'd like to back our postmasters and hostmaster here - I think they
did the right thing - let things roll for a bit and them kill it off.
Damian - FWIW, I certainly wouldn't have "picked up on it".
One thing I was hoping we might get with a public archive is for
people to think twice before posting trolls and/or flames. Not
convinced it's working :-)
