I'm after a recommendation for a disk recovery company, preferably in
Hampshire.
The HD in my Brothers PC has died, and it contains the only copy of
most of the pictures of his 2 month-old daughter, so he's willing to pay
to get them back. I'm pretty sure the HD itself is dead, as I've tried
it in 3 PCs with various connection configurations (master/slave etc.)
and none of them can see it in the bios, and if you hold it in your
hand, you can't feel it spin-up.
Does anyone have any experience with a commercial recovery company ?
I know they can be expensive, but he's willing to pay a reasonable
amount, although obviously we'd like to find one that are willing to
take a look at the disk and "give us a quote" for the work, as it were.
