Subject: [Hampshire] Ububtu Gutsy i386 + Fluxbox
I am trying to get Fluxbox working on a resource-strapped mini-itx box.
When I log in I am presented with a minimal toolbar along the bottom
plus a blank screen. No amount of left- or right-clicking anywhere on
the screen or toolbar generates the sort of menu I was familiar with
last time I used Fluxbox, which was admittedly some time ago now.

I tried to play around with it on my main machine and managed to reduce
the above to an unresponsive blank screen with no toolbars at all!

Googling has thrown up a few solutions, but to be perfectly honest they
all look petty manual and intensive to me, with graphical configuration
tools being passed over in favour of editing text files by hand*. I
really haven't got time to play around like this, so can anyone
recommend a reasonably direct way of installing a basic application menu
in Fluxbox or shall I go for xfce4 to avoid the pain?

remainder simply shrug!
