Nope, not intended to be disagreeable at all. I'm sorry you read it that
way. It was just an observation... check back through the
threads/archives and you will find many mentions of *buntu
distributions. They are not the only distros used around here, but they
are certainly very popular among the LUG members as far as I can see.

But it is, isn't it?
Or did you buy your computer with linux factory-installed and
functional? As I see it, Linux use is mostly a choice made by people to
remove the "default" OS that comes with a very high percentage of the
new computers sold around the planet, replacing it with something they
prefer.
