I can relate to the orginal poster I cannot possibly begin to describe how terrible Orange are!
I was with them since the Freeserve days but when Orange took over that was enough for me. I got fed up with the hassle of trying to explain to there technical support guys what DNS is.
Trying to get them to resolve connection issues was a nightmare! it seems that 50% of the time is spent having no internet connection and the other 50% of time is spent on the phone to incompetent techincal support.
The whole scenario of the internet connection dropping issue was a nightmare I kept getting the reponse of check your cables or reset the router. I gave up in the end and demanded Orange to give me my MAC code.
I'm now with Bethere they advertise it being 24mb for £18 per month but of course it all depends on your location from the exchange and other factors come into play.
I Think i roughly get about 8mb which is better than orange I have been with Be since November 2007 and havent had one issue. There service is reliable speeds are great and overall I am a happy customer.
