Subject: [Hampshire] [Advert] Epia 800 mini-itx machine for sale
In my eagerness to get hold of a mini-itx machine to replace the one I
sold some 15 months back I have somehow ended up with two - easily done
on ebay, believe me!

Since I actually only need one and am therefore offering up one for sale.

It has the following components:
- Chyang Fun Cube Case
- Epia C3 (800MHz) based motherboard [1]
- 512 Mb Kingston PC133 RAM (error-free)
- Maxtor 60GB ATA 133 HDD (wiped upon receipt of PC)

I have replaced the CPU fan and the PSU fan with 'quiet' ones from Quiet
PC, as the old ones were grumbling a bit.
It's currently running Ubuntu Gutsy quite happily and eveything works as
it should. It has on-board sound and graphics,
I currently use my 500MHz box at home as a headless Web, file and print
server for which it is more than adequate, so this one won't struggle if
similarly deployed. I use this one as a backup desktop machine in my
office, for which purpose it is quite adequate in terms of performance,
able to run OO, Thunderbird and Firefox etc.
It has a single PCI slot can be used for an additional network card, PCI
graphics card, etc., and will accept a fanless power supply if you wish
to upgrade as i have done with my other machine.

What's wrong with it?
Well not a lot actually, but the case is designed for M series boards
and therefore the backplate has been removed (and retained) to
accommodate the current mobo.
There are a few light marks on the silver case - nothing on the front or
immediately obvious or offensive anywhere else.
The front panel connectors for sound, usb and firewire /don't/ work as
there are no connectors for them (not to the best of my knowledge anyway
- I didn't need them so I didn't look too hard) on the motherboard.

I've got some piccies if anyone is interested - still on the phone at
the moment so please let me know if you want to see them.

The asking price is 85.00 GBP - any questions/offers *off-list* please.
It is currently located in Hordle, near Lymington and available for
pickup. I'm happy to arrange whatever post people are willing to pay for
if the is inconvenient, and may be able to drop it off within a 20-mile
or so radius.
