Yep - I'd say so. I once had a PC that had a similar error message (can't
quite remember what it said but it sounded fairly catastrophic) and in hope
I rebooted and got a different error, then rebooted again and got a "hit f1
to continue" and from then on it worked like a dream.

The only other point to make is that (even if you hand built your system)
the mobo could've been sitting on a shelf somewhere for a couple of years
before it saw any use - but all that time it would have been draining the
battery - akin to a digital watch in a basement somewhere in Argos!
