[Hampshire] [OT] Freesat ethernet

Hi all

The documentation which came with my new Freesat box was (to put it mildly)
a bit light. On the back of the box itself is an ethernet socket and all
that the documentation says about it is "when available".

Does anybody know...
a) what (if anything) I'd get from connecting it to my network?
b) what will be available when it's available (if you see what I mean)?
Will it act like a cable modem? I've heard the expression "satellite
modem" (and just looked it up on Wikipedia) - is this the same sort of
thing?
