Just as well I don't have a legit copy of XP to replace w2k then as I
might well have tried the virtual desktop manager thingy. I really
dislike using the windows gui for that reason alone.

I have got so used to running each app in its own workplace and
switching between them with ctrl-alt-> or ctrl-alt-< that anything else
seems stone-age in comparison.
