I am running Mepis 8 RC1 distro (which is based on Debian lenny) and use
Synaptics for updating the distro. A couple of weeks ago I installed a
software package called wicd using the developers own apt repository.
A couple of days ago the Mepis community repository produced a version of
wicd, same version as the one from wicd own apt repo. Now I don't want to
install the Mepis repo one but stay with the devlopers own version, is there
anyway I can tell Synaptics to ignore the Mepis repo version.? I can't
disable the Mepis repos as I have a couple of other packages from that repos
source
Any suggestions?
Tim
