The Python online docs[1] are pretty good. There is an official
tutorial[2] as part fo the Python documentation set. It'll take you
through the basics of the language -- the syntax, fundamental data
structures, classes, objects and modules. After that, I found it was
mostly just a matter of looking up the APIs I wanted to use in the
library reference[3].
