I also spend the majority of the day looking at terminal sessions,
so I empathise with the need for the "right" font. Although I don't run
KDE, my preferred terminal application is Konsole, and within that I use
the "Monospace" font.
Not sure how useful that is to you as I expect favourite terminal fonts is
a bit like favourite editors and MUAs, but there is it for what it's worth.
