Have you considered a RAID 1 configuration with two 2TB drives. I am
presently running two 1TB drives using software RAID and Ubuntu 10.4. This
allows me to have other operating systems e.g. XP, on other hard drives.
If you have a motherboard with hardware RAID support in the BIOS, it is
easier to setup than software RAID. However, Ubuntu have dropped hardware
RAID support with 11.04.
Obviously if you are concerned about loss of your computer, then RAID is not
the best option.
