You can use dumpe2fs to read the UUID of a given
Ext2 or Ext3 partition:
dumpe2fs -h /dev/hda1
for example. Near the top of the output will be
"Filesystem UUID".

I don't know of a command to show a table of
partitions and UUIDs. Anyone else?
