Perhaps. Dumbing down is the way of things these days; TBH, given the
general level of knowledge I see in most people I meet, this might not
actually be a bad idea, even if it does irk some of us :-(

These programmes are designed to be exported as well as shown domestically
- so chances are, it'll turn up in a number of locations where there are
*bazillions* of adverts throughout it. That means you need to recap a bit.
And they're probably aiming at people with attention spans lower than some
of the participants in the programme ;-)
