Hi,

I bought a Samsung SH-S183L with SATA a few months ago for my new
linux desktop and it just worked. Admittedly I have only really used
it for burning DVDs and CDs using K3B but that works fine. I'm not
sure about lightscribe working with linux but thats just a lack of
software I believe.
