I have used extension lead ethernet cables in the past, they have a rj45
socket one end and a normal rj45 plug the other end. Never checked it for
speed as that was not a concern but they were 100% reliable.

Vic, if you want one of those couplers drop me an e-mail of list as I have a
couple in my box somewhere and can send you one.
