Subject: [Hampshire] Linux compatible Skype Phone?
I don't know if this question has been asked before - I couldn't find it in
the archives. But I guess it wouldn't do any harm to ask again if it has -
after all, new products are always coming to market!.

I use Skype quite successfully on Ubuntu 6.6. But I use a clumsy headset
which plugs into the mike and headphone jacks. But it wraps around the ear,
and gets rather uncomfortable if worn for more than an hour. I would like to
get a USB handset of the kind sold in PC World. I tried one of these - a
budget handset for about £10, but I couldn't get it working on Ubuntu. It
worked on 'Doze, but the sound was terrible, so it went back.

So basically, I am looking for recommendations for Linux compatible
handsets, which are affordable but still give a good quality sound. Anyone
have any personal experience of these?
